Lawyers and Cybersecurity – Navigating the Thicket of 21st Century Technologies, Law, Government Agencies and Public/Private Sector Partnerships

Bryan Earl, a supervisory special agent and assistant general counsel, Operational Technology Law Unit at the Federal Bureau of Investigation will present, “Lawyers and Cybersecurity – Navigating the Thicket of 21st Century Technologies, Law, Government Agencies and Public/Private Sector Partnerships” at Widener Law Commonwealth.

Mr. Earl serves as a supervisory special agent and assistant general counsel in the Operational Technology Law Unit at the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He is a compliance attorney with experience advising on the legal use of the latest investigative technologies in the United States and abroad. Mr. Earl has worked closely with law enforcement and intelligence service representatives in countries of the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, and US and foreign embassy officers in those same countries. He is an expert in the areas of criminal, intelligence, and cyber threats emanating from the former Soviet Union and Europe to businesses, governments and individuals.

The event is sponsored by the Law and Government Institute and the Business Advising Program at the law school.  The Business Advising Program aims to provide students with a firm foundation in the legal doctrines and lawyering skills necessary to advise businesses small and large.
