"My students are our future leaders and advocates for justice and it's imperative they have the necessary legal expertise to effectively advocate on behalf of real people and businesses who have a stake in the outcome of a legal or court decision. As their professor, my primary responsibility is to teach my students how to identify legal issues and use critical thinking to develop effective legal strategies and solutions, including those that will save the client time and money."

Vos joined the law school’s faculty in 2022 from Boise State University where she was a full-time lecturer for legal studies in business at Boise State University’s College of Business and Economics in Boise, Idaho. Since 2016, she taught business law to future business leaders and accountants. And she developed a corporate compliance course which she taught as an adjunct at the University of Idaho College of Law, during the spring 2022 semester.

Prior to entering academia, Vos practiced law at one of the largest law firms in south Florida representing local governments and businesses and individuals who seek to do business with government. Her clients included municipal corporations, property owners, small businesses and the third-largest electric utility company in the United States. After moving to Idaho in 2012, she provided advice concerning corporate compliance and risk management for an Idaho rehabilitation health care system with more than 500 employees and $50 million in annual revenues. She advised executive management on a broad range of regulatory and compliance matters and ensured compliance with state and federal laws related to managed care.

Before entering law school, Vos worked for the Broward County Environmental Protection Department where she was responsible for environmental regulatory compliance and enforcement for a county populated by 1.8 million people (the 18th most populous county in the United States) and covering a total land area of 1,230 square miles. She worked on a broad range of environmental issues involving Federal, State, and local regulations, including enforcement for actions arising from routine facility inspections, accidental releases, permit violations, tree removal, and mangrove alteration.

Vos cites her primary research and teaching interests in business law, regulatory compliance, environmental law, land use law, and state and local government. In addition, she has written and co-authored several publications and presentations pertaining to land use law, constitutional law, and the environment.
