Full-Time and Part-Time JD Programs

Widener Law Commonwealth’s JD program combines legal theory with the skills essential to successful legal practice. Along with a solid curriculum, Widener Law Commonwealth offers you a choice—complete the JD program either in three years of full-time study or four years of part-time study in either the day or evening.

Students in the three-year full-time program and four-year part-time program learn from the same group of committed faculty members and have access to the same range of enriching opportunities—from clinics and externships, to membership in honor societies and student organizations, to a choice of certificate programs allowing for concentrated training in a specific area of focus.

Students in both the full- and part-time programs also complete the same credit requirements. The Widener Law Commonwealth JD curriculum provides a broad foundation in the law and the chance for you to pursue particular areas of interest through electives and our menu system.
