PA Supreme Court Candidates debate

The two candidates seeking a full term on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court met at a debate at Widener Law Commonwealth.

Both of the candidates said they were in favor of more transparency and improved ethics by the judiciary, but have different opinions on the issue of letting judges accept gifts.

Democratic candidate Dwayne Woodruff and Republican Sallie Mundy answered questions on judicial ethics that were presented by a panel of journalists from across the state.

Woodruff currently serves as a family court judge in Pittsburgh and is in favor of a gift ban.

Mundy, who was appointed to the high court, says she's never been offered or accepted a gift while serving on appellate courts.

The forum was sponsored by the League of Women Voters and the Widener Law Commonwealth Law and Government Institute.
