Refund Policy Federal Aid Title IV
WITHDRAWAL REFUND POLICY FOR TITLE IV FEDERAL AID
Widener Law Commonwealth returns unearned federal funds in compliance with federal regulation (34 CFR 668.22). If a student completed more than 60% of the period of enrollment, he or she earned 100% of the financial aid for that period. If the student completed 60% or less of the period of enrollment, the percentage of the enrolled period is the percentage of aid earned. A period of enrollment at the Law School is equivalent to one semester.
Federal funds will be returned in the order prescribed by 34 CFR 668.22 as in the following order:
- Unsubsidized Direct Loans
- Subsidized Direct Loans
- Federal Perkins Loans
- Direct PLUS Loans
- Federal Pell Grants for which a Return is required
- FSEOG for which a return of funds is required
- TEACH Grants for which a Return is required
- Iraq and Afghanistan Service Grant, for which a Return is required.
