Attorney General Candidates debate issues at Widener Law Commonwealth

Widener Law Commonwealth hosted a forum organized by the Pennsylvania Women’s Forum featuring all five of the candidates running for the office of Attorney General.  The office will be open because current Attorney General Kathleen Kane has decided not to run for re-election.  The two Republican candidates appearing at Widener Law Commonwealth were Senator John C. Rafferty and Joe Peters.  The three Democratic candidates were John Morganelli, Josh Shapiro, and Stephen Zappala.

Corinna Wilson, President of Wilson500, Inc. and a member of the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Women’s Forum, moderated the debate. The candidates fielded questions from the following journalists:  Brad Bumstead, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette; John Micek, Patriot News; and Angela Couloumbis, Philadelphia Inquirer.

Questions asked by the panel of journalists included inquiries about the experience of the candidates and what they could offer if elected to the position, changes they would like to make to the office of attorney general, and if any of them had hopes of becoming the state’s governor in the future.

This event was covered live by PCN TV.
