The commencement ceremony takes place annually at The Forum in the Capitol Complex in Harrisburg, PA. December graduates walk in the May ceremony following their graduation. All members of the graduating class receive a “Commencement Guide for Graduates” after spring break.
Pass/fail information for all graduates is due by the Friday prior to the graduation ceremony. Actual grades will not be available until mid-June, which is sufficient time to certify graduates for the July bar examination. The Commencement program reflects honors and awards based on fall grades. As part of the requirements for graduation, each graduate must file a petition to graduate. Also, each graduate must have financial clearance from the Bursar’s Office.
All graduate candidates must submit a petition based on their anticipated completion date.
This form must be completed, signed, and returned to the Registrar’s Office on no later than October 30 for May and August graduates and September 30 for December graduates.
PLEASE NOTE: Campus Cruiser closed their doors on December 31, 2018, but the portal may be available until March 15, 2019. Widener University ITS is actively working on options to house Campus Cruiser information so users outside the Widener community will be able to view the content. In the interim, if you notice a link to Campus Cruiser or a link on Campus Cruiser is not working, please contact [email protected] with detailed information about the document or page you’re trying to access. Thank you for your patience during this unexpected transition period.
