Current Trends and Developments in Business Lending: Understanding the Standardization of Loan Agreements
Widener Law Commonwealth’s Business Advising Program and co-sponsor Mette, Evans & Woodside welcomes Bridget Marsh, Executive Vice President and Deputy General Counsel, and Tess Virmani, Senior Vice President and Associate General Counsel, from the Loan Syndications and Trading Association (LSTA) on August 15, 2017. This is a one-hour CLE on the latest trends and developments with respect to the loan market and the standardization of loan documentation. The LSTA is the leading advocate for the U.S. syndicated loan market, promoting a fair, orderly, efficient and growing corporate loan market by providing leadership in advancing and balancing the interests of all market participants.
Bridget Marsh is Executive Vice President & Deputy General Counsel for the LSTA. Ms. Marsh heads the development and standardization of the LSTA’s documentation. Prior to joining the LSTA, Bridget practiced as a corporate finance attorney at Milbank, New York, and as a lawyer in the corporate/M&A department of Simmons & Simmons, London, and completed a judicial clerkship for The Honorable Justice Beaumont of the Federal Court of Australia. She is a Fellow of the American College of Commercial Finance Lawyers.
Tess Virmani is SVP & Associate General Counsel of the LSTA. Ms. Virmani works on legal projects for the development, standardization and revision of the LSTA’s documentation. Prior to joining the LSTA, Ms. Virmani spent three years practicing as a finance attorney at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, New York.
