We are a law school that works for vets. For generations, many of those who have served their nation in the military have gone on to serve the cause of justice through careers in the law. At Widener Law Commonwealth, we are dedicated to extending that tradition.

Student Organizations

Discover the many student organizations available to Widener Law Commonwealth students. Included among the interest organizations is an active Spirit of Service Association that aims to support Widener Law Commonwealth Veterans and their families.

Law and Government Institute

The Law and Government Institute is dedicated to the study of government law. The Institute helps students prepare for careers in public service by exploring how government works and the roles that lawyers play in making and implementing law. Veterans bring a unique background and expansive skill set that helps enrich the Institute and enables veterans to find career paths that are reflective of their goals, values and skills. 

Widener University's History & the Military

Widener University, formerly Pennsylvania Military College, has a rich history of contributing to the education of current and former members of the military.
