Legal Pathways to Deep Decarbonization in Pennsylvania: What Are the Best Ways Forward?

The symposium will explore the ideas presented in the book, Legal Pathways to Deep Decarbonization in the United States, edited by Michael B. Gerrard and John C. Dernbach.  The book details more than 1,000 legal tools for federal, state, local, and private decision makers to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by at least 80 percent by 2050.

Presenters at the conference will discuss what legal approaches are best for Pennsylvania to significantly reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.  The conference will bring together policy makers, stakeholders, and lawyers to discuss the most significant and promising legal options.
